Non Profit Testimonial

In 2013, my mother and I had a vision of starting a non-profit, but neither one of us had any experience in this field. It was through F & L Consulting that we were able to lay out a very detailed organizational plan and solidify our vision and mission. In 2015, our 501c3 non-profit was founded. Today, it is thriving and providing service to women and children.

Our mission is to provide safe housing for women and children survivors of domestic violence and to educate youth to prevent the cycle of abuse. We currently have two transitional homes in Springfield, MO and we are opening a third in Chicago, IL. We partner with local domestic violence shelters to provide housing for survivors who leave shelter with no other housing options. We also partner with schools, organizations and youth groups in the community to offer free quality education to teach our kids about healthy relationships and dating abuse. We opened our doors in 2019 and started a youth program, providing housing for 15 women and 7 children, and serving over 1,400 youth in our community through our Block Violence Prevention program.

In 2019, our organization was named Non-Profit Start Up Organization of the Year and also received the Housing Innovative award from Community Partnerships of the Ozarks.

F & L gave us a strong foundation that was critical to the success of our organization. What was once a dream and vision is now a reality.
